A type of Indian tea, made especially by boiling black tea leaves with milk, sugar, and spices.
- 3 c water
- 1½ c milk
In a small pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
Add chai masala (spice) packet and boil for ~1 minute.
Add milk and only heat through (~ 1minute more) – avoid boiling the milk.
Using a strainer, transfer chai directly into mugs or a heat-proof pitcher.
You may add additional sugar and milk to taste.
Enjoy hot or iced.
